Finance & Accounting Manager

You'll be responsible for our finance and accounting functions, including day-to-day financial reporting, working capital/cash management, financial controls and risk management for our parent company in Sweden and subsidiaries in the UK and Portugal. Financial monitoring and control are key parts of your role, defining and reporting on metrics tied to strategy, funding and project delivery in order to maximize the value of CorPower Ocean.

For collaborative projects, involving external partners, you’ll oversee our compliance function ensuring that both CorPower Ocean and our consortium partners implement and uphold our top standard financial policies and procedures.

To thrive in this role, you'll develop a strong understanding of how CorPower Ocean operates both in Stockholm and in our offices abroad. Organisational skills and forward planning will be key to your success. The Management Team will rely on you to have a good understanding of what we're doing today - and what we plan for the future.

Typical Duties

  • Keep accurate accounting, cash balances and cash forecasts
  • Arrange for debt and equity financing
  • Budgeting and forecasting cycles to support, short, medium and long-term business planning in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Short term cash and working capital forecasting and reporting.
  • Provide support to Project Managers on short term and long term budgeting
  • Ad hoc analysis as required to further develop the success of our projects
  • Ensure alignment and compliance with internal standard
  • Ensuring Bolagsverket and Skatteverket requirements and deadlines are met
  • Manage, support and guide team members to ensure they report expenditures in line with project funding requirements
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual close process and annual report process
  • Manage the year end audit
  • Manage funding partner specific audits



  • Excellent organization skills
  • Excellent Swedish communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • IT literate (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, accounting systems)
  • Ability to work methodically with good attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, with a practical, “can-do” approach
  • Logical approach to problem solving
  • you are persistent, knowing it takes stamina to reach ambitious goals
  • you are data driven and strive to always back your points with a solid analysis


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Strong Technical accounting knowledge, EU Project Accounting experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-starter who is pro-active and thrives in a high-paced growth environment
