Senior Electrical Engineer

Role

We are looking for an ambitious person with relevant electrical engineering experience to join our international team in Stockholm. Do you want to take a key role in the development of wave energy?

Responsibilities

  • Module owner within our wave energy converters
  • Design, fabrication and testing of electrical sub-systems, primarily, but not limited to, for electrical cabinets and panels
  • Establish requirements for components such as: circuit breakers, contactors, relays,  transformers, cables, connectors, enclosures, etc.
  • Establish optimal design to support industrialization and effective mass production
  • Interface with other module owners to support implementation of requirements
  • Produce detailed electrical diagrams using SolidWorks Electrical®
  • Produce relevant technical documentation, including reports for 3rd party certification
  • Perform failure mode, effects and criticality analysis for modules and system
  • Manage your modules to meet performance, schedule and budget targets
  • Investigate new solutions to improve performance, reliability and manufacturability
  • Support procurement activities, including component and supplier selection, manufacturing and factory acceptance testing
  • Perform assembly, testing and troubleshooting of prototypes system


Skills and qualifications

  • Experience in electrical system design, combining high reliability and low-cost volume manufacturing methods
  • Strong understanding of signal integrity and electromagnetic compatibility
  • Desire to combine computer based design work with hands-on work, supporting assembly, testing and troubleshooting
  • Strong skills in CAD system for electrical design
  • Knowledge of applicable standards, special for marine / power generation sectors
  • We value experience in electrical drive trains (generators and drives), instrumentation and control, medium voltage systems

You have a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in design of electrical systems for industrial machinery. You have a track record of successfully taking new products through planning, design, manufacturing and testing. You may have a B.Sc or a M.Sc. degree in Electrical engineering or related disciplines, but your personality, experience and interest in the field is the most important. You are proficient in English, both spoken and written.
